He made mortals from the very plant that now nurtures them. As a Creator God of Fruition and Nutrition we have no doubt he would endorse the phrase ‘we are what we eat.’
He is one of a pair of Maya Maize Gods. Both are depicted with heads like maize cobs. Unlike his youthful colleague, who has a flourishing head of leafy hair, Hun-Ixim is depicted with a rather drastic punk-style trim.
