HERMOD

Norse Messenger God

Also known as Hermóðr, Hermoth

Nimble-footed Messenger of the Gods

He is also brother of the unfortunate Balder. He risked life and limb by racing Odin’s eight-legged steed all the way to hell to plead for his brother’s return. This was granted on condition that everything in the entire universe weep for him. Unfortunately the ‘Shed A Tear For Balder’ campaign didn’t make much impact on the man in the street and Balder stayed firmly dead.

In token of his heroic attempt, Hermod became the landlord of Valhalla. He’s your host if you wish to die bravely in battle.
