Second Class Creator God who now holds up the Earth.
The Chibcha people fled to the mountains and were only saved when BOCHICA himself intervened. He came on a rainbow and hurled his staff at nearby Mount Teguendama, making a cleft for the waters to flow away. The result of his restructuring can be seen today in the form of the magnificent Tequendama waterfall which descends into Lake Guatavita.
CHIBCHACHUM was given a very heavy punishment. He was forced to descend into the Underworld to replace the wooden pillars that hold up the Earth. Now, like a Colombian ATLAS, he bears the weight of the world on his shoulders. He still tries to rock the boat with earthquakes now and then.
