UGWVU-CUENGO

The Vulture King and Collector of Fire.

This giant bird spent much of his time flapping around with a vacant expression until Creator God KANASSA caught him by the legs and forced him to zoom off into the sky to bite off a piece of the sun.

This was apparently a common occurrence at the time. Vultures were always being pestered for light and fire — see URUBUTSIN, for instance. If you were a vulture in the vicinity of the Xingu River you might as well resign yourself to it.
