CHENREZIG
Also known as CHENRESIG, SPYAN-RAS-GZIGS

All-seeing Lord of Compassion

This is the original Tibetan form of the BODHISATTVA more widely known as AVALOKITESVARA.

He's 'looking with clear eyes' — he has a thousand arms with an eye in the palm of each hand. He also has quite a lot of heads — all complete with eyes and probably third eyes. He seems very well-equipped, until he has a weeping session.

For hundreds of years, he has been looking after mortals as part of an extended missionary field trip. His earthly incarnation is the DALAI-LAMA.

We are often asked about merchandise. Can we supply the latest Chenrezig graphic novel, book or comic? Not to mention role-playing games (RPG), video games, Chenrezig movies on DVD, BluRay and so on. To purchase such goodies we suggest you search for a dedicated mythology-based online store - or try Amazon, Ebay or other reputable websites. We offer a wide range of our own merchandise in our online GodShop, but we don't currently sell third party items. Yet!

Visitors often email us asking about Chenrezig statues, sculptures or carved figurines of Chenrezig. We regret we cannot assist with identifying such items.
