St. ANSANUS

Christian Saint

Also known as Ansanus-The-Baptizer

Ill-fated young preacher

A young nobleman from Siena, he was preaching Christianity from the age of 19.

But not for long. The Emperor Diocletian was rather against this sort of thing and put a stop to it.

Our poor prospective saint did not survive a menu of whipping, being thrown in a pot of boiling oil and finally being lightly beheaded.
