Deity of the Day for Tuesday 9 March 2010...
NIRRITI
From Indian Mythology
NIRRITI: Hindu Goddess of Destruction, Death and Decay.
A terrifying dark figure in a black dress, she is the stuff of nightmares and loves pain and horribleness in all its forms. Only bribery in the form of humble and frequent offerings will keep her looking the other way.
One more thing. She sometimes becomes he under the name NIRRITU.
