MUT

A picture showing the legend of MUT taken from our Egyptian mythology archives. Illustration by Chas Saunders. Read the story below or search the index for more Egyptian Gods, Egyptian Goddesses, heroes, demons and monsters!

Mother Goddess of Mothers and Mothering. She is also the mother of [KHONSU] the Moon God.

During the AMUN-RA ascendancy she was his female counterpart. She did her best to amalgamate all the great Goddesses into her own identity and liked to be known as 'Lady of Heaven' or 'Queen of Gods'. Ironically her symbol is that of a vulture.

To get noticed in her early days, she helped ISIS collect the bits of OSIRIS and replaced his head and heart. This sort of thing is always a good career move.

We are often asked about merchandise. Can we supply the latest Mut graphic novel, book or comic? Not to mention role-playing games (RPG), video games, Mut movies on DVD, BluRay and so on. To purchase such goodies we suggest you search for a dedicated mythology-based online store - or try Amazon, Ebay or other reputable websites. We offer a wide range of our own merchandise in our online GodShop, but we don't currently sell third party items. Yet!

Visitors often email us asking about Mut statues, sculptures or carved figurines of Mut. We regret we cannot assist with identifying such items.
