The Shinto and Buddhist Gods of Japan...

The Gods Of Japanese Mythology

Introduction

Traditionally the Japanese have worshipped at least eight hundred myriads of gods, which must have caused a few congestion problems on their relatively small islands.

Their major belief systems are Buddhism, Shinto, Yamaha and Objectism. But amidst dragons and demons they have some very endearing Gods of Good Fortune.

But corrections are always welcome, especially from people with first-hand knowledge. So if you know the region and would like to comment, we'd love to hear from you. Contact us here.
