NIDHOGG

Norse fabulous creature

Also known as NIDHOGGR, NITHHOGG, NÍDHÖGG, NÍÐHÖGG, NÍÐHÖGGR, NIDHØG

The Worm at the End of the Universe

He is a dragon that lurks at the bottom of the World Tree and gnaws endlessly at YGGDRASIL’s roots. He seems to be a fearsome pet of HEL who escaped from HELHEIM for a good old rampage but got stuck in the tangled roots.

Now he bites at the tree, always hoping to nibble his way to freedom, while also enduring the most fearsomely rude insults from the cheeky squirrel RATATOSKR. By now his temper must be dreadful. We hope he doesn’t get loose any time soon.
