SAMANTABHADRA

The Primordial Father Buddha.

Regarded as the ADI-BUDDHA, he symbolizes the male element of the Universe. The Chinese would call him the God of YANG.

He seems to be a kind and happy Buddha, naked, unashamed, and associated in some way with elephant with three heads and tusks. Whatever makes you happy, we say.

His female counterpart is SAMANTABHADRA. They are both very into YAB-YUM and Tantric religious ecstasy — and are very popular in consequence.

His Japanese incarnation is known as FUGEN.

We are often asked about merchandise. Can we supply the latest Samantabhadra graphic novel, book or comic? Not to mention role-playing games (RPG), video games, Samantabhadra movies on DVD, BluRay and so on. To purchase such goodies we suggest you search for a dedicated mythology-based online store - or try Amazon, Ebay or other reputable websites. We offer a wide range of our own merchandise in our online GodShop, but we don't currently sell third party items. Yet!

Visitors often email us asking about Samantabhadra statues, sculptures or carved figurines of Samantabhadra. We regret we cannot assist with identifying such items.
