ACHIMI

Kabyle Buffalo Goddess 🦬

Picture of the African Buffalo Goddess Achimi from our African mythology image library. Illustration by Chas Saunders.

Buffalo Goddess

She’s the daughter of Buffalo God Itherther. They were buffaloes long before the herd instinct took effect.

They’re responsible for hunting and meat-eating, which seems rather daft behavior for edible deities. Nowadays it would probably be better to call them Burger Gods.
