Gautama was the first person to officially enlighten himself, and so he is known as the Buddha. But there are many others.
Being one of the Buddhas gives you amazing special powers — you have transcended the constraints of existence so can do more or less anything you like. However, most if not all Buddhas find themselves drawn to meditation, compassion, and sitting in a variety of peculiar mystical positions.
