St. ILLTYD

Christian Saint

Also known as Hildutus, Illtud, Illtud Farchog

Abbot of Llaniltud with King Arthur connections

He was formerly a Welsh nobleman who gave it all up after a very bad hunting trip in which all his companions rode into a bog and were slurped up before his eyes.

He became a hermit for a while and then founded a monastery. He was very popular and known as ‘The Knight’ and may have appeared in the cast of a King Arthur Production.
