St. PASCHAL BAYLÓN

Christian Saint

Franciscan lay brother

As a young shepherd at Arragon, he learnt to read and always said his prayers facing the local church whilst tending his sheep.

After he became a lay brother, he was finally able to pray inside the church. Then he became an expert on the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, and spent many holy hours before the Blessed Sacraments.
