The consort of Ukko, she is an empowering female deity who provides feminine fertility, strength and sexuality. She is also the Goddess to call upon for earth magic and channeling.

As Goddess of the harvest, she can provide in abundance. She is also very kind to Rowan trees.

Her name means simply ‘woman’ or ‘female’ — and she is closely related to the Saami Mother Goddess Maderakka.
