NEREIDS

Greek Sea Spirits

Also known as Nereides, Sea Nymphs

Nymphs of the Sea

The sea Nymphs are the fifty daughters of Nereus and Doris — and what a jolly lot they are. Much splashing and frolicking in the waves and playing with dolphins.

The Sea Nymphs are also a rather lovely band starring Tim Smith, Sarah Smith and William D Drake. Aficionados of jaunty English folkpop should scamper to the havens of youTunes for some stunning samples.
