He is rumored to have been killed by Vishnu when he was a fish. Not a very convincing story. Or, from another unknown source, the tale goes that Vishnu was trying out his horse outfit for his Kalki role in what will turn out to be the world’s final pantomime.

Meanwhile, over in Tibet, Hayagriva has been horsing around with a protection racket...
