RUDRÂNÎ

Hindu Angry Goddess

Bloody Storm Goddess of Tears

She is either the girlfriend of moody Storm God Rudra or a female version of him.

’Rud’ means ‘howl’ but in her case it’s more like ‘ruddy’. As in a ruddy shade of blood red. She likes a drop of the red fluid. This means battlefields, sacrifices, woundings... she goes where it flows.

She apparently even takes an interest in women’s monthly cycles, surely making her a Goddess of Pre-Menstrual Tension.

She is not to be confused with the Rudranis although we probably just did.
