WOGAN

Irish legendary mortal

Lord of Television Talk Shows

A mortal emissary from Ireland, it is a popular belief that much power was granted to him by his kissing the Blarney Stone eight million times, ensuring him the everlasting gift of the gab.

At the British Broadcasting Corporation in London there was for many years a weekly festival in his honor. Which, owing to some confusion between Norse and Celtic deities, is now called Wogansday.

He has now sadly ascended to Blarney Paradise where he is no doubt hosting a soothing Heavenly radio program.
