The Gods and Spirits of Lithuania

KAUPOLIS

Lithuanian Plant Goddess

A Goddess of Vegetation

She keeps her consort Kupole firmly in tow. But she can’t keep him under control and he never misses an opportunity to eye up a pretty maiden and take them for a ride on his magnificent horse.

What vegetation are the two of them into? One day we shall come across a National Geographic Magazine giving us an in-depth article on exactly what grows in Lithuania, all beautifully illustrated. We bet they won’t give Kupole a mention though.
