ZAQAR

Akkadian Dream God

Also known as Dzaqar, Zaqiqu, Ziqiqu

God of Dreams and Messages

Along with his sister MAMU, he’s the messenger of Sin. He communicates any pressing issues from on high via the medium of dreams.

If Babylonians babbled in their sleep he could be the cause.

Zaqar wrote the book on the subject: Iškar Zaqīqu — popularly known as the Assyrian Dream Book. If you are puzzled by your dreams, this one has all the answers.
