MANTICORE

Persian fabulous creature

Also known as Mardykhor

Scary scaly fabulous beast

Far-ranging fabulous monster with lion body and a horrible head with three rows of teeth, and a scaly tail ending in a ball of poison darts.

It will triple top you and devour your every morsel — boots, buttons and all. If a Manticore ate an apple it would not leave any core. Or pips. As a man-eater the situation is similar.
