RAN

Norse Sea Goddess

Mother of the Wave Maidens

She’s the wife of Aegir but is terribly randy and fancies mortals.

The snag is, she lives at the bottom of the sea, so has to snatch suitors from the surface in a net. Doesn’t have a lot of luck with her infidelities as drowning seems to render them incapable.

However she does have nine daughters by Aegir. These are the white-robed Billow Girls known as the Wave Maidens.
