The Mighty Gods of the Vikings...

ULL

Norse Hunting God

Also known as Oller, Uller, Ullr, Ullur, Valder, Vuldr

Enigmatic but cool God of Winter Sports

The runes are unclear. He is an ancient deity wrapped in obscurity. Which is a shame as he sounds like quite a cool dude.

A Hunting God associated with archery, Ull has a strong winter connection. Fragments of an old legend hint that while hunting he traveled across the ice on magic bones – ancient ice skates.

It seems he may also have invented skiing or even snowboarding, using his shield to zoom down the snowy hills. How fantastic is that?

Ull is also known as Uller, Oller and Ullur, so he may have invented yodelling as well.
